Hook On Events
This week has been busy with 'Hook On' events. Many took place outside in the sunshine at the beginning of the week. Matisse were learning how to be sailors and showed perseverance when tying knots. Van Gogh were dissecting Viking 'poo' and Viking burial mounds. Da Vinci managed to do 'A Play in a Day' linked to their concept of freedom which many of the Year 6 parents came to see. Gauguin were mountaineers for the day exploring their concept of courage and making kendal mint cake. Lowry didn't have the greatest weather for their exploration of the school grounds but the wrapped up warm as their began their work on identity. Cassatt's classroom has been transformed for their Under the Sea topic. Picasso began the week with a DT focus looking at catapults ready for their learning event later in the month.
