We are committed to focusing on the provision of exceptional education rooted in Christian Values and creating a community of respect where all are valued as individuals. Unsurpassed in our commitment to educate the whole child, all are cared for and nurtured spiritually, morally, intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally.

We are determined to remain forward thinking whilst respecting the trust deed of our founder, Charles Kingsley.

Mission Statement

Charles Kingsley’s CE Primary exists to educate the young in an environment of PERSONAL EXCELLENCE in academic endeavour, sport, the arts and personal development in which every individual is valued and respected by all.

Charles Kingsley’s CE Primary School encourages pupils to develop humility to understand that no matter how much we learn, there is so much more waiting to be discovered. Pupils will have infectious love for LIFE LONG LEARNING

Charles Kingsley’s CE Primary School encourages each pupil to find their unique talents and abilities developing their PERSONAL VALUES FOR LIFE so they will be equipped to meet the opportunities and challenges which wait them as GLOBAL CITIZENS.

This will be achieved by employing highly qualified staff who are attentive to the educational, cultural and physical needs of students and the community. Parents will be positive, supporting members of the school community. Pupils will be respectful, self-disciplined, productive citizens who think critically, make informed decisions and act ethically.

Christian Values

Charles Kingsley’s CE Primary School is a value driven school with a Christian foundation, committed to the trust deed of our founder Charles Kingsley. We are passionate about the power and importance of education to transform children’s lives and enable them to succeed in the future.

This is a church school and at its heart are the values of our Christian foundation. We believe that learning and growing in a caring Christian environment will strengthen the values, principles and personal beliefs of our pupils, equipping them for living life in the 21st Century.

Our Christian Values are taken from Galatians 5:22-23

In establishing their own journey towards a personal faith, we will equip our pupils with the courage and strength to defend their beliefs whilst showing tolerance and respect for others.

We understand and do not underestimate the challenges awaiting our pupils growing up in a secular and unsettled society. Through a curriculum rich in discussion and a passion for enquiring minds, we aim to develop a readiness to challenge all that would constrain the human spirit.

School Core Values

Our values are important because they help us to grow and develop. They help us to create the future we want to experience. Every individual in school is involved in making hundreds of decisions every day. The decisions we make are a reflection of our school values and beliefs.

At Charles Kingsley’s CE Primary School we foster and embody the value of RESPECT. A culture of mutual respect for all is essential.

“We care enough about other people feelings before we act”.

Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:31

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart. Jeremiah 1:15

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them. Matthew 18:20

Enquiring Minds/Creative thinking

How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver! Proverbs 16:16

Then the Lord reached out His hand and touched my mouth and said to me, ‘I have put my words in your mouth.’

Jeremiah 1:9

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

1 Peter 4:10
