The Governors are looking for an inspirational and creative practitioner to join our team in September 2019. The Headteacher is keen to work with someone that will embrace the opportunity of working in a driven and learning environment where high expectations and aspirations are lived. Could this be you?


In the mornings you will be class based and in the afternoons work across key stage two, teaching classes to provide teachers with PPA time, leadership time, cover for teachers to attend training and short term absence. You will also support individual children and work with small groups. The role will also require the HLTA to line manage Learning Support Assistants (LSA's)


We are seeking to appoint an HLTA who:

  • Has an HLTA qualification or teaching qualification
  • Has, at least, GCSEs in maths and English grade C or above
  • Can enthuse and inspire children to learn and is passionate about raising achievement for all
  • Has high expectations and a positive attitude
  • Has excellent communication skills and can relate well to others
  • Has a positive approach to behaviour management
  • Is willing to learn and try new ideas
  • Is enthusiastic, resilient and has a good sense of humour
  • Has excellent organisational skills

KS1 Learning Support Assistant and Midday Supervisor

Job Start: 1st September 2019  

Contract: Permanent  

Salary: Grade B

LSA Hours: 19hrs (5 days a week) and LTS Hours: midday to 1.10pm 5 days a week


We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our KS1 team. Relevant school experience is desirable but personal qualities and a desire to help all children achieve their best is our main criteria. The role involves supporting children individually or in small groups under the direction of the class teacher.


We are looking for someone to work in partnership with the class teacher and school who:

  • enjoys working with children
  • is able to work as part of a team, prepared to share experiences and learn from others  
  • has a positive outlook on life with a good sense of humour
  • is organised, flexible and able to work independently
  • has competence in Literacy and Numeracy and has excellent oral and written skills
  • demonstrates high levels of emotional intelligence
  • has high expectations of self and others
    Other Responsibilities will include:
  • Helping to organise our pupils in the hall, classrooms and outside areas, encouraging good manners and supporting healthy eating
  • Supervising, supporting play activities and encouraging children to participate in lunchtime activities
  • Promoting independence, fair play and positive behaviour
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of all our pupils
  • Administering of minor first aid
