Our Collective Worship today was all about transport, we used the Picture News image and question below as our focus.

Nowadays, people often travel long distances for fun but in Bible times, this was not the case. Travelling long distances was often hard and uncomfortable as people walked or rode on an animal such as a donkey or camel. It was also very dangerous. People preferred not to travel but many had to. Have you heard of Paul? He chose to travel thousands of miles, facing many dangers, to spread the teachings of Jesus.

Dear God,

Thank you for all the different ways
we can travel, which help us explore
your wonderful world,

Give courage to those who may
have a difficult journey to make,
