- "Serve one another humbly in love" Galatians 5:13b
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Another successful Bags 4 School. Huge thank you to The Golden Pot for allowing us to use their car park as a drop off. As always thank you to the FOCKSA committee members for organising and manning the drop off of bags.
You helped raise an impressive £425.
Miss Church led Worship and helped us think about whether everyone should have access to transport? We discussed different modes of transport using Mis Church's artefacts from her many travels. One of the Year 6 discussed a journey in a tuk-tuk. We were told about how in Germany you can hire different types of bike for different ages and sizes making the scheme accessible for all.

Mrs Wolfrey's has spent the day sorting the Children's DT kitchen. We have lots of new resources for the children to use to complete their cooking units as part of the new DT long term plan.
Although Cassatt didn't use the kitchen area to cook their Shrove Tuesday Pancakes they used the new hot plates.
The rest of the classes were intrigued by what Mrs Wolfrey's was doing and can't wait to use this space.
Thank you to FOCKSA for organising the Krispy Kreme Donut sale at pick up tonight. It was lovely to have a sweet treat to end the term. They raise just over £100 and it was decided that the takings would be donated to the Turkey/Syria Earthquake Appeal.
As Children's Mental Health Week draws to a close the Y6 Wellness Ambassadors introduced themselves to the whole school as part of a special worship.
They explained the Wellness Toolkit which has been shared across the school for the whole of the school community - in the classrooms, staffroom and in the office - reminding us how we can look after ourselves.
The most exciting part of the worship was when the CONFIDENCE CROWN was introduced and explained and that each class is going to have one. Each week someone will be nominated to wear the crown for the week for showing confidence in their learning.
CROWN stands for -
Confident
Resilient
Open Minded
Work Hard
Never Give Up
We are looking forward to finding out who will be crowned in each class after half term.
Our cross country team were back in action again tonight. They encouraged each other and really demonstrated the CKS value of R.E.S.P.E.C.T and the School Sports Values.
CKS Staff attended fire pit training tonight. It was cold but the small fire and popcorn warmed our hearts. When the CKS fire pit is ready the staff will be too.
The third CKS Festival was as much as a success as the previous two. The morning started with the children doing Wake Up and Shake Up on the playground in their house colours. As it was so cold, it really warmed everyone up.
First out were Year R whose festival was based around football skills, something they are getting better at considering all the sports awards they are getting.
They were followed by Year 5 and 6's Netball tournament, which was a true exhibition of teamship and sportsmanship. Everywhere you looked the School Sports' Values were being demonstrated.
The last festival of the morning was the Year 3 and 4's hockey tournament. There ware some amazing goals and some equally amazing saves. The School Value of R.E.S.P.E.C.T. was shown on every pitch in every game.
In the afternoon, Year 2 shared their fire dance and Year 1 demonstrated their gymnastic learning to each other and Year R.
After all the points were added Trusty Brooms were declared the winner of this Spring 1 festival.
We can't wait for the next one.
It was Safer Internet Day today and many classes used the 'Want to talk about it?' theme as a way of talking about the importance of talking about what we do online as well as celebrating what we do online. Telling a trusted adult was the main message that came from the children.
The 'Want to talk about it?' also links really well with the Children's Mental Health week them of 'Let's Connect'.
