- Love. Courage. Hope.
This week we took time to consider that each one of us is part of God’s creation. We began by discussing this time of year: the current weather, the surrounding area and what we all enjoy most about the outdoors and nature. Unfortunately, lots of the things mentioned – trees, sunshine, ice creams we couldn’t bring into the hall to show! However, we had a bag containing smaller items and different children were chosen to describe to the school so they could guess what the item was. We had a plant, a water bottle, an apple and the Bible. The children were able to describe it and we thought about why God created it for us. The children then shared their ideas about the best things God created and after each one, in our loudest voices we shouted, ‘You are part of God’s creation!’ We then moved on to one another… God made us all to enjoy everything that he has given us - to make the most of the fresh air and the outdoors, use our bodies and look after each other. God loves seeing us running around, having fun and being happy! We ended our worship, standing up with one last cheer – “We are part of God’s creation!” Dear God, Thank you for all that you give to us. Thank you for all of nature and creation, for the food we grow, eat and enjoy. Help us to play our part in creation. Help us to look after each other and all that you have entrusted to our care. Amen. |
